What triggers the automatic request?
A Shopify order being marked fulfilled starts the clock. You can also send requests by hand from the Reviews page to any contact, on WhatsApp or email.
Does the customer have to leave WhatsApp?
No. With in-chat capture the customer taps a rating and writes the comment right there. The alternative is a personal link to a hosted review page, which works on any channel and can only be used once.
What makes a review verified?
The reviewer's email matches a contact in your account that has purchase history. It isn't tied to one specific order, and a review with no email simply isn't marked.
Where do the reviews end up?
On your storefront through one pasted snippet — any platform, not only Shopify — plus a JSON feed through the public API for server-rendered pages, and Product/AggregateRating structured data for search engines.
