Tiendanube connects through a shared IcloneU app rather than credentials you paste, so there is nothing to copy out of your store admin. You authorise once and the connection is live.
Connecting the store
Open the connector list
Go to Automations and open the Connectors tab. Tiendanube sits in the same list as Shopify, WooCommerce and Hotmart.
Authorise in Tiendanube
Start the connection and you are sent to Tiendanube to approve access. Sign in with the account that owns the store, review what the app is asking for, and confirm. You are returned to IcloneU with the connection created.
Attach it to a clone
A connector does nothing on its own. Open the clone that should be able to use the store and enable the Tiendanube actions on it, exactly as you would for any other connector.
NoteOne store can serve several clones. The connection is on the account; which clones may use it is decided per clone.
If the same Tiendanube store is already connected somewhere else, the connection is refused rather than silently moved. Disconnect it from the other account first.
What your clone can do with the store
Four abilities, and each one is deliberately narrow about what it will claim.
- Search Products — "Searches the store's catalog by name, tag or SKU and returns each product's page link." This is the clone's only source of truth for what you sell, so a product that sold out this morning stops being offered this morning.
- Get Product Info — "Gets a product's details: description, variants with price, promotional price and stock, and its page link." This is the one that answers a size or colour question honestly, because it reads the variants rather than the product blurb.
- Create Checkout Link — "Creates a draft order for the items the customer committed to and returns a link to pay in the store's own checkout." Several items go into one link rather than several links.
- Get Order Status — "Looks up a customer's orders by their email — payment status, shipping status and tracking." It is scoped to the person your clone is actually talking to.
Get Order Status is about the verified buyer and nobody else. Someone who simply names an order number does not get it.
The discount ceiling
Checkout links can carry a discount, so the connection has one setting that constrains it mechanically rather than by asking the clone nicely.

Leaving the ceiling empty or at zero does not make the clone improvise. It is told plainly that it has no discount to give, which is what stops it inventing a code or promising one by email.
Automating on a purchase — not yet
You will see Purchase approved offered as a connector event when you build a workflow, and it will let you select it — but Tiendanube is never actually subscribed to send us the underlying order/paid event, so nothing arrives and the workflow never runs. Do not build a post-purchase flow on it yet. This is a known gap, not a configuration mistake on your side, and nothing you change in Tiendanube will make it start working.
Everything in the sections above is unaffected — those are things your clone does while it is talking to someone, not things that start on their own. If you need a purchase to start a flow today, a Shopify store does deliver those events.
What it will not do
- Refund, cancel or edit an order. Order access is read-only; the only ability that writes creates a draft order for a checkout link.
- Discuss one customer's order with another.
- Offer a discount above the ceiling you set, or invent one when the ceiling is zero.
- Start a workflow when someone buys — see the warning above.
